The Municipality of Pilar is gearing up for its annual Kasinagan Festival, set to commence on October 1, 2024. This year’s theme, “Ningning ng Inang Mahal, Pasasalamat ng Buong Bayan,” emphasizes the community’s deep gratitude to its patroness, Nuestra Señora del Pilar, for the blessings throughout the year.
The festival, led by Mayor Charlie Pizarro, will feature a blend of religious and cultural events. Highlights include the Thanksgiving Mass on October 1, followed by a series of festivities such as the Kainan sa Gedli and Trade Fair (October 2-5), street dancing, free theoretical driving course (October 7-8), and a Grand Marian Procession on October 5. Other activities include a motor show, a job fair, and the grand finale, the Kasinagan Music Festival Night, on October 19.
Kasinagan, meaning “radiance” or “brightness,” represents Pilar’s rich cultural and religious heritage. The festival showcases the unity and resilience of the community through parades, music, and religious celebrations, offering a vibrant reflection of the town’s shared pride and devotion.
